『Destiny2』最後の大型アップデート「Monument of Triumph」を6月9日配信。今後はライブサービスを終了し次回作の開発に移行。

Bungie公式（2026年5月21日）―― Bungieは本日、Destiny 2の今後について重要な発表を行いました。Destiny 2: Monument of Triumphを2026年6月9日に全プレイヤー向け無料アップデートとして配信し、これをもってDestiny 2のライブサービス型大型コンテンツ更新を終了すると明かしました。

Bungieは「The Final Shape」以降、Destiny 2の開発を段階的に縮小し、新たなゲーム開発へシフトする方針を明らかにしています。ただし、Destiny 2自体は今後もプレイ可能な状態に保たれ、オリジナル版Destinyと同じくサーバーが維持されます。

Bungie公式コメント

「12年間にわたり、皆さんとDestinyの宇宙を共に歩めたことは光栄でした。The Final Shape以降、私たちは新たな始まりを迎えます。Destiny 2はこれからも皆さんの帰る場所として残ります。ありがとう、そして星の向こうで会いましょう。」
